Christian Louboutin Spring 2012 / Shoe of the Day #14

Today's Shoe of the Day is, well, more than one shoe!  I can't decide which of the following from the Christian Louboutin Spring 2012 Collection I wanted to use for Shoe of the Day, so I thought I'd just feature my fav's out of the collection:

Torero 

Bollywoody

Lady Corset

Mad Moi Top

Cheyenne

Ohhh, to have those in my shoe closet!  Ahhhh, a girl can dream, right?!?!  As for the rest of the collection.....in my opinion, it is not spectacular enough to show them individually, so I grabbed this group photo to show the others (Torero is shown in both colors in this pic...the only 2 that I like in it).

What do you think?  If you could get a pair out of the collection, which would you grab?  I'd have such a hard time choosing!  I love Torero and Bollywoody, but would probably make most use of Lady Corset or Mad Moi Top.

Shoe of the Day #5/Louboutin Look-Alike

Today's shoe is "Siobhan".  Why did I choose Siobhan?  Simple.  Siobhan closely resembles Louboutin's Daffodile 160mm (which retails for $1,095) but has the more budget friendly price tag of $39.95!!

If you read "gossip magazines" (which are my guilty pleasure...USWeekly, InTouch, Life & Style) or watch entertainment news shows (E! News, Extra, etc) then the shoes may look familiar.  Celebs LOVE "Daffodile", and are seen wearing them, fairly often.

Opinions?  Like them?  Leave them?  I know some of you ladies are VERY against "knock offs".  I'm okay with them, as I am hardly able to afford a pair of $1,000 shoes.  Plus, while very similar, there are enough differences that they're definitely not a "copy" of the Daffodile.  Hey, there is the saying "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery" for a reason!  ;)

Idea for what to wear, just replace the black booties w/Siobhan (either color would work, really)!

Shoe of the Day #3

Today's shoe.....well, just kills me to say, I HATE it.  Anyone who has been reading this blog for awhile, knows I LOOOOOOVE Louboutin.  LOVE.  That said, I do not know what on Earth he was thinking when he designed this shoe.

Alex Lion Paw Pumps, $4,995!!

The "Alex Lion Paw Pumps" are not only UGLY, they also come with the ridiculous price tag of $4,995!  I'm sorry, but I wouldn't wear them if he paid me $4,995!  Ok, well, I probably would, but still.  They're ugly.  I don't care how "fashion forward" he is trying to be.  These shoes look ridiculous, even on "Fashionistas" such as Blake Lively, and Sarah Jessica Parker.

That is really all I can say on today's shoe.  Ugly and overpriced.  Sorry, Loub, you missed the mark on this one.  :(  This however, is MY opinion.  What is yours?  I'd love to hear thoughts on this shoe!
