Ebates. I'd heard of Ebates for MONTHS now, and figured there HAD to be a catch. Since I am not a frequent online shopper, I didn't even bother looking into it. Fast forward to Christmas. My step-daughter wanted UGGs for Christmas. $200 UGGs. No place close to me sells UGGs (well, not the style she wanted). I HAD to get them online. I am a DISCOUNT FREAK. I never buy online w/out a promo code, if I can help it. The UGGs were only in stock at Nordstrom, and I could find ZERO promo codes. So, I figured I'd see if Nordstrom was an Ebates affiliate. THEY ARE. And, at the time, they were offering 10% cash back!! So, I got the $200 boots for $190 (after my check came in!). Since then, I have racked up another $12.00! Not TONS of money, but its money back in my pocket on things that I would have bought regardless. Ok, first, I know if you're like me then you're thinking "no such thing as no strings attached cash back". Ok, *technically* you're correct. Ebates pays you by paper check. That's the only string. Seriously. You ALSO get a $10 gift card to YOUR choice of stores (you can choose from a few different ones, I chose Target) when you sign up, & they mail it as soon as you spend $25 through Ebates.
Why do you care? You can sign up for Ebates "Daily Double" emails, to get notified of which stores are offering double cash back that day. Today's Daily Double is a BUNCH of stores specializing in BOOKS (such as Barnes & Noble, BooksAMillion, etc)! Figured I'd share since a few of you have given positive feedback on my book review posts.
