Happy New Year!

First of all, I know this is a day late, however, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!  I hope all of you had a happy, healthy, fun, safe NYE and that it continues for the rest of 2012!

Second: Hmmm......2012.  Big question this year is.....to make resolutions, or not to make resolutions?!?!

Let's look at last years post:  I made 5 resolutions......kept 2 of them, which actually, for me is REALLY GOOD.  As with about 99.9% of people that make NYResolutions, one of mine was to workout.  I procrastinated a bit....joined the gym in April, not January, BUT, I successfully lost 20 lbs!  I went from size Large and Jeans size 10/11 down to size Small/Medium and Jeans size 4-8 (depending on the brand)!  I've never fit into a 4 in my LIFE...not even before kids!  My most fav way to get rid of the lbs was taking a Zumba class!  I'd tried following along on TV, and was like NO WAY.  However, it is MUCH easier (and more fun) in person!  I lost the last few lbs through Zumba alone.  I have also KEPT the weight off!  The other resolution I kept was to stop being anti-social.  I could still do better with this one, however, I DO see my friends more now than I did the previous year(s)!

I think I will make a couple for 2012.  What shall they be?!?!  I need realistic, so I can actually keep them, but I also need to challenge myself some kinda way, right??

Ok, realistic ones first:

  • Keep active.  Like I said...I lost quite a bit of weight, however, I've gotten lazy and even though I've kept lbs off, the "mushiness" is coming back.  I MUST get back to the gym & work on firming up.  I don't want to be rock hard, cuz I think women look better with a little softness, but I have more than a little!
  • Be even more social.  Also like I said before, I do see my friends more now than I have in the past (& have also made a couple NEW friends), BUT, I could definitely see them more often. Even if its just going over for coffee once in awhile or whatever.
Wow, those were easy!  Now....onto the trickier ones.

  • Repair/Rebuild my Credit.  Ok, I'll admit...I got credit cards when I was 18, maxed them all, & never repaid them (why they approved me when I wasn't working is STILL beyond me).  My bad spending habits started YOUNG.  As a result, my credit score is AWFUL.  Like that commercial with the 3 guys & one guy is REALLY outta shape...yeah, that's pretty much me.  My aim this year is to pay off all small items on my credit report, then start chipping away at the bigger items!
  • SAVE MONEY.  I've NEVER had a savings account in my life.  Well, I've had one, but its never kept any kind of balance for long.  I want to seriously start an account that I DO. NOT. TOUCH.  For any reason.  Hubbs & I want to get a house, and that just can not happen with our spending as it currently stands.
I think that's gonna be it.  It may not seem like a lot, but....those last two are REALLY gonna be challenges.  They're going to take discipline that I HOPE I can find somewhere!
